Seeds of Tamuri

The soldiers came at dusk. When they left, thirteen-year-old Minah had lost her mother, her father, her baby brother—and the two friends they carried away in chains.

She survives the road out of Tamuri. She does not survive it whole.

Taken in by a hunter with her own reasons to hate the empire, Minah is forged into something sharper than grief. A world away, Yun climbs into the capital's cutthroat court chasing the same answer she is—and finds the trail running closer to home than he can bear.

What they uncover is worse than a massacre. The empire is not killing children. It is using them.

To reach the ones they lost, Minah and Yun will have to become stronger than the thing that broke them. Strong enough to become something it would recognize.
